IHL Stretch Goals

In 2007 the Board of Trustees of the State Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) engaged in system-wide strategic initiative for the public universities in Mississippi.  A key aspect of this strategic initiative had each university developing stretch goals that concentrated on student success factors, including retention and graduation rates through the 2014-15 academic year.  The USM Stretch Goals, submitted to the IHL in 2008, included goals related to enrollment, retention, graduation, the number of degrees awarded, the number of degrees awarded in the field of education, and the pass rates of the NCLEX and Praxis tests for nursing and teacher preparation programs respectively.  The 2014-15 goals in each area are located in the column in gray.
